air-fried shrimp

Air Fried Shrimp

Raw shrimp are peeled and deveined, then tossed with olive oil and simple seasonings before being placed in an air fryer. The oil lightly coats the surface, helping the shrimp brown as hot air circulates around them. High heat cooks the shrimp quickly while the exterior develops light caramelization, preserving the naturally firm and tender texture typical of quickly cooked shellfish.

As the shrimp cook, they curl and turn opaque while the seasonings cling to the lightly browned surface. Shaking the basket or turning the shrimp helps them cook evenly on all sides. The air fryer’s rapid convection heat allows the shrimp to develop a lightly crisp exterior without breading while maintaining a moist interior.
