Chicken with Prosciutto and Mozzarella
Chicken breasts are wrapped with thin slices of prosciutto and layered with mozzarella, then seared or baked until the meat is cooked through and the cheese melts. The prosciutto crisps slightly during cooking, adding savory, salty notes, while the mozzarella becomes gooey and creamy. The combination balances tender chicken, rich cheese, and flavorful cured meat.
As the chicken cooks, the mozzarella melts evenly over the surface, creating a cohesive, indulgent topping. The prosciutto clings to the chicken, adding texture and depth of flavor. The preparation highlights simple layering and gentle cooking to achieve tender, juicy chicken with melted, savory cheese and crisped prosciutto.
This recipe uses my Brined Chicken Breasts recipe for baking the chicken.
